KASTEL - Phase 1: 2011-2015
Welcome to KASTEL
The competence center for for applied security technology (Kompetenzzentrum für angewandte Sicherheitstechnologie, KASTEL) is one of three german competence centers for cyber security initiated by the federal ministry of education and research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF) in march, 2011. The goal of KASTEL is the development of secure applications in in a continuous process, which is exercised in three exemplary scenarios and discussed in four fundamental research questions. In KASTEL, eleven KIT research groups from the department of informatics, the department of economics and management and the center for applied legal studies (Zentrum für Angewandte Rechtswissenschaft, ZAR) cooperate in this common goal.
